Featured Presentations:

This network gathering will feature three presentations: 1) Reaching the Next Generation as an Unreached People Group in KC, 2) The KC India Project, and 3) Saturate KC.

The presenters for the featured presentation about Reaching the Next Generation as an Unreached People Group in KC will be: Roy Moran, Cory Ozbun, and Matt Adams.

Roy Moran is husband to Candy, father to four children and grandfather to ten. Roy has been at Shoal Creek Community Church for 23 years pioneering a church uniquely positioned to reach people far from God.  He is the author of the Thomas Nelson release, Spent Matches: igniting a signal fire for the spiritually dissatisfied.

Cory Ozbun is an Assistant Pastor at Colonial Presbyterian Church and has been on staff there for the past 11 years. His focus in ministry is to help train and launch disciple-makers using Disciple-making Movement methodology. His primary harvest field is the incarcerated men and women in the Johnson County jails and using their relational networks in the city to plant the Gospel using Discovery Bible Studies. He is in the process of joining the full-time staff of CRM, a missions organization dedicated to DMM strategies.

Matt Adams has been in youth ministry for 20 years and on Young Life staff for 14. He started out as a youth pastor in KC, then deployed to Germany with Young Life for 7 years before returning to KC after 3 national ministry startups in Munich and Stuttgart. He now splits his time as ministry developer for Young Life in the Northland (Liberty and Platte Co) and ministry developer for SW Germany. He is also the point leader for the KC Germany Project and leads the REFORM mission initiative, which seeks to catalyze a movement around prayer, church planting, youth outreach and discipleship, and refugee/immigrant engagement in Germany.

Chris Tatham, mission pastor at Olathe Bible Church, will be the presenter for the update about the KC India Project, a collaborative effort by KC-area churches to reach a part of India, in partnership with the India Gospel League.

Chris Tatham is the missions pastor at Olathe Bible Church where he has participated in more than 50 overseas mission trips during the past 10 years. He is currently working with indigenously led church planting movements to reach unreached people groups in Panama, India, Ethiopia, Nepal, and Liberia. Before becoming a pastor, he served as a logistics officer for the United States Army. He also worked as a market research consultant for state and local governments. He has degrees in business, political science, economics, and theology.

This network event will also feature an update about Saturate KC, which is focused on KC-area Bible engagement, missional prayer, and Gospel saturation. Jerry Conner, Global Outreach Pastor at Pleasant Valley Baptist, and Dave Putthoff, pastor at Open Range Fellowship, will be a part of this featured presentation.

Jerry Conner has more than a decade of experience in the business world, and he has been a part of planting churches in Wichita, KS, and Vancouver, BC. Since 2013, he has been serving as Global Outreach Pastor at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church (PVBC). Jerry leads PVBC's variety of global and U.S. mission outreaches, and is spearheading his church's vision for starting six new churches in the Kansas City area. Recently, he served as PVBC's planting pastor for a congregation called The Grove in Gladstone, MO. He also leads PVBC's prayer ministry, including church-wide interactive prayer rooms and initiatives; prayer bootcamps (12-week intensive training); congregational prayer emphasis: prayer vigils, concerts of prayer, prayer walking, etc.

Dave Putthoff has over three decades of experience as a catalytic visionary, network leader, church planter, veteran pastor, and regional coach. Dave is currently the founding Regional Director of Great Commission Heartland and serves on the national leadership council of a non-denominational association, Great Commission Churches. Dave is passionate about gospel saturation for the city, and he serves as a part-time staff member with The Sending Project, focused on facilitating a Holistic Gospel Saturation Network in the KC area. Dave also serves locally as chief scout and trailblazer of Open Range Fellowship, his most recent church plant just outside of the KC metro area.

This April 5 network gathering is going to be an excellent time together, building community and learning more about what God is doing through KC-area churches and their mission partners...and the featured presentations are going to be educational and inspiring! Each church represented at this network gathering will also have time to share briefly about their church's mission activity.
