The Books of the Bible

— Kansas City Edition —

Less like a reference book, more like a story. That’s how we were meant to read God’s Word. And the Books of the Bible helps us do just that. No chapter and verse numbers, no cross-references, no red letters. The Books of the Bible restores the text to a more original presentation, helping us see Scripture in its original context and uncover its original beauty.

The Books of the Bible offers an immersive approach to Scripture. Not a verse here or a chapter there, but whole books read in their original context. It starts with a 40-day journey through the New Testament. Reading five days a week, around 12 pages a day, you’ll experience every word. You can also watch a short video each day before you read, helping you connect with the stories, characters, and teachings of the Bible. There is an audio and kids version as well.

We have more than 5,000 copies of this KC Edition of the Books of the Bible, and we are glad to announce that, as long as the supply lasts, we are able to make a limited number of copies per KC-area church available at no cost!

At this luncheon, you will have the opportunity to order some of these Bibles to be read with the Community Bible Experience system.

Watch this video to learn about the Community Bible Experience and the Books of the Bible. Much of this video was shot in KC and features people from the KC area!

New Study on Bible Engagement in the Kansas City area

All who attend this June 29 KC Bible Experience luncheon will be given a copy of this new report called: What People Think about the Bible in Kansas City. This is a fantastic baseline study completed earlier this year that presents key insights related to Kansas City's perspectives on the Bible and church, and also very helpful information about Kansas City's curiosity, engagement, and experiences regarding the Bible.

"For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea." (Habakkuk 2:14)

In partnership with the American Bible Society and Biblica, the KC Bible Experience is facilitated locally by Mainstream Bible Outreach Society and The Sending Project, and includes a variety of initiatives related to the advancement of Bible engagement in the KC metro and surrounding area.

We hope you can attend this June 29 luncheon. Let's continue this journey of increasing Bible engagement in the KC area!
