Pastors, church leaders, ministry leaders, marketplace leaders, and other leaders in the citywide Body of Christ in the KC area:
You are invited to join us for a great luncheon at Brio Tuscan Grille to hear updates about various areas of the KC Bible Experience, a KC-focused citywide Scripture engagement initiative.
Featured presenters for this luncheon include Sam Harrell, Director of Cities, U.S. Ministry, at the American Bible Society (pictured first), and Randy Frazee, Lead Teaching Pastor at Westside Family Church (pictured last). The overall vision of the KC Bible Experience will be featured as well as other key elements related to the Bible cause in the KC area, including the following:
•Bible-Based Trauma Healing Ministry
•Community Bible Experience
A major focus of the KC Bible Experience is Bible engagement. With this in mind, below are two opportunities for Bible engagement. More opportunities will also be presented at the luncheon on November 8.
COMMUNITY BIBLE EXPERIENCE and THE BOOKS OF THE BIBLE
Less like a reference book, more like a story. That’s how we were meant to read God’s Word. And the Books of the Bible helps us do just that. No chapter and verse numbers, no cross-references, no red letters. The Books of the Bible restores the text to a more original presentation, helping us see Scripture in its original context and uncover its original beauty.
The Books of the Bible offers an immersive approach to Scripture. Not a verse here or a chapter there, but whole books read in their original context. It starts with a 40-day journey through the New Testament. Reading five days a week, around 12 pages a day, you’ll experience every word. You can also watch a short video each day before you read, helping you connect with the stories, characters, and teachings of the Bible. There is an audio and kids version as well.
The Books of the Bible
— Youth Custom Cover —
Along with our featured speakers, at the November 8 luncheon, we will be featuring the new Youth Custom Cover Edition of the Books of the Bible. In partnership with the American Bible Society, we have 10,000 copies of these Bibles available at no cost for KC-area churches and other groups. Everyone who attends this November 8 luncheon will be given a copy of the new Youth Custom Cover edition of the Books of the Bible and you will also have the opportunity to find out how you can be a part of utilizing these FREE Bibles in your church or ministry.
The Books of the Bible
— Kansas City Edition —
As you may recall, we were also given 5,000 copies of the KC Custom Cover Edition of the Books of the Bible last Spring. If you would like your church or ministry to participate in the Community Bible Experience with these Bibles, there are still around 1,000 copies of the KC Custom Cover Edition of the Books of the Bible available. You will also be able to order these Bibles at the November 8 luncheon.
