2012 CONFERENCE THEME: FROM INSPIRATION TO MOBILIZATION
Robotic surgery, MRI, coronary artery stents, vision correction procedures - our age is marked by marvelous progress in medicine. Yet on the parameter remain multitudes of people who are barred from these innovations because of poverty, illiteracy, culture, and distance. From Inspiration To Mobilization is the theme of the 2012 Exploring Medical Missions Conference. This event will assist you to progress from good intentions toward genuine service on behalf of those people most isolated.
OBJECTIVES At the completion of this conference participants will be able to:
• Apply best practices in crisis response to actual disasters
• Design community development strategies to improve public health
• Utilize appropriate clinical skills in providing medical care
• Effectively lead organizations toward fulfillment of their vision and goals
SEVEN YEARS RUNNING
Since 2006 the annual INMED Exploring Medical Missions Conference has grown to become one of the premier opportunities for students and professionals polish their sense of calling and their skills on behalf of the world's most forgotten people. Previous Conference themes have examined the Fight Against HIV, Launching Into Medical Missions, Fighting The Diseases of Poverty, Serving The Forgotten, and From Rescue To Resilience. 350 enthusiastic individuals and 30 sending organizations participated in the 2011 Conference.
