Deaf International Community Church's mission activity focuses on both the Deaf and hearing communities through building bridges between the two worlds. Locally, DICC runs a job club for Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals, tutors Deaf refugees in American Sign Language, provides free mental-health counseling, and does advocacy work on behalf of the Deaf. Nationally and internationally, DICC partners with Deaf International to do this same advocacy work plus meet the specific physical and spiritual needs of international Deaf communities where in some countries Deaf individuals are not allowed to drive, go to school, work, and get married. To better address the spiritual needs of the Deaf community, DICC hopes to partner with Deaf International to continue producing Christian media material in American Sign Language and to train international ministry leaders at a future seminary.
